GENERAL INFORMATION/RULES EFFECTIVE AS OF October 1, 2003
In order for us to maintain clean grounds, fairness to all vendors and customers, and an accurate count of locations available, we encourage all participants to adhere to the existing rules of the La Salida del Sol Lions’ Club Swap Meet.
1. Monthly vendors (person(s) paying their monthly fee by the first Saturday of the month), at their own risk, may leave at the Swap Meet approved tent frames and tables only for the month they have paid. This material will be neatly stacked (neatly will be determined by a Lion Attendant). Merchandise will not be left at the Swap Meet, to include any type vehicle, trailer, and appliances.
2. Vendors may enter the Swap Meet anytime after 7:30 a.m. Friday and must vacate the premises by 3:00 p.m. Sunday. STRICTLY ENFORCED.
3. Vendor spaces are 20'x 30'. Cost: $15.00/corner and $10.00/inside on Saturday. All spaces are $5.00 on Sunday. Monthly reserved space: $55.00/corner, $30.00/inside. See#1.
4. Vendors may set up table, displays, etc. as needed to display their wares inside their space.
5. Vendors are required to keep their spaces clean at all times. Small items of trash can be placed in the containers provided. Large amounts of trash will be removed from the premises by the vendor.
6. Vendors shall comply with all applicable City, County, State and Federal laws including "No Parking" in restricted areas.
7. Vendors' pets must be leashed at all times. No animals allowed in customer areas except for "assistance" animals. No Pet Walking.
8. Pursuant to SV Ordinance §90.10, this swap meet can not allow animals to be: sold, traded, bartered, or given away on this property.
9. Unsold merchandise that is declared junk and other trash will be removed from the Swap Meet area by the vendor. This includes placing items in trash barrel or bin.
10. No toxic, dangerous products, alcohol or drugs allowed on the premises.
11. Weapons and/or firearms must be kept separated from ammunition. No side arms are to be worn In the Swap Meet. As a safety measure ALL firearms will have a cable tie or similar device threaded thru the firearm in such a manner as to incapacitate the firing mechanism. Ask for cable ties from any Lion or at the office.
12. Motor vehicles are prohibited in the walkways except to load/unload. No driving and looking.
13. Bicycles and motorcycles must not be ridden in the walkways.
14. Radio, stereo-player, and electrical generator noise shall be kept to a minimum.
15. Games of chance, skill, or raffles are prohibited.
16. Subleasing or holding of vendor spaces is not allowed.
17. Funds received are considered payment for the space not a charitable contribution.
18. Once the collection has begun, there will be no refunds. NOTE: The determination of "rainout" is the sole discretion of the Lion Attendant on duty.
19. Political and religious displays and activities by vendors are permitted only within those vendors rented space.
20. Non-profit organizations can obtain one free space each month by providing a letter requesting such space, is approved by the Swap Meet Chairman, and a copy of the approval is available from the Lion Attendant on duty.
21. In case of an emergency, contact the Lion Attendant on duty or telephone the Sierra Vista Police at 911 or 458-3311.
